So, there is supposed to be some winter weather tonight.
There is nothing I hate more than winter weather moving in on the night that I ALWAYS do my grocery shopping.
It’s going to be a mad house. But… I have to go – we go week to week on groceries – shopping has to happen every Friday to keep us in food.
I kinda feel like I ought to be able to go to the store and shout “HEY! THIS IS MY REGULAR SHOPPING! I AM NOT A PANICKY BREAD AND MILK BUYER! GET OUT OF MY WAY!”
But I will not do that.
I will go.
I will shop.
I will be annoyed, but, not the first time in my life that’s happened

Be sure to buy 8 or 10 loaves of bread, 16 cases of bottled water, 8 pounds of beef jerky, and every box of dried fruit in the store.

I know what you mean. We shop every 2 weeks, and this is our weekend. We had to go to the store last night (payday) because we were out of milk, eggs and bread. [We shop on Sundays.]
We brought home “brand name” eggs (all generics gone), whole wheat and RYE bread (that’s all that was left)…and I had to purchase TWO 1/2 gallons of milk…at Dollar General.

I had that experience Friday – I was there to do my regular grocery shopping and people were freaking out.
