No Celery Please – NYC Edition!

So I Read This: Scott Sigler – Earthcore

Posted in Reading by noceleryplease on September 21, 2012

OK, so I didn’t “Read” it…

Scott Sigler, awesome dude that he is, makes a lot of his books available for FREE in podcast format.

I just finished listening to this one… I think it might be the first one he ever did?

Anyway – totally awesome and I highly recommend it.  It’s especially good if, like me this week, you have a lot of sort of mindless, repetitive stuff that has to get done but doesn’t require your full brain to do it.

Listening to stories is not 100% my preference…  But I love the way he does his.

So I definitely recommend checking this one out:

The synopsis from his site:

SYNOPSIS:
Deep below a desolate Utah mountain lies the largest platinum deposit ever discovered. A billion-dollar find, it waits for any company that can drill a world’s record, three-mile-deep mine shaft. EarthCore is the company with the technology, the resources and the guts to go after the mother lode. Young executive Connell Kirkland is the company’s driving force, pushing himself and those around him to uncover the massive treasure.

But at three miles below the surface, where the rocks are so hot they burn bare skin, something has been waiting for centuries. Waiting … and guarding. Kirkland and EarthCore are about to find out firsthand why this treasure has never been unearthed.

Lots of twists and turns.  Fast paced – keeps you interested.

I have listened to other books of his and read some of them as well.  I love this guy!

OMG!!! He’s writing about the secret squirrel Platinum and Nut repository that’s been hidden away by squirrel’s since the dawn of time!!! They must stay far away from it or risk releasing the super uber-squirrel that guards it!!!
